Senior Financial Controller
On behalf of a partner company, Nordic Investin is looking for a Senior Financial Controller. You can protect a reliable close while using the same financial detail to help operations understand what should happen next.
The partner needs temporary or permanent senior controlling support within a central finance team serving operational regions. You will work across order to cash, purchase to pay and record to report while strengthening analysis, forecasts and business dialogue.
Controlling is expected to connect financial results with the operational and commercial drivers behind them. The strongest analysis leads to a clearer choice, an owned action and disciplined follow up rather than another unexplained report.
How you will work
You will work close to the stakeholders responsible for revenue, cost, projects or operations. The partner expects you to test assumptions, explain uncertainty and translate analysis into a small number of useful actions. Credibility will come from both financial discipline and curiosity about the business.
As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. Seniority here means broader judgement and follow through, not distance from delivery.
What you will do
Perform and review core financial close activities.
Support customer billing, supplier flows and general accounting.
Prepare monthly reporting, statistics and variance analysis.
Coordinate budget and forecast inputs with operations.
Improve reconciliations, controls and process ownership.
Explain financial outcomes to regional and operational stakeholders.
What you will bring
Several years of financial controlling or senior accounting experience.
Strong understanding of end to end finance processes.
Advanced analysis, spreadsheet and ERP skills.
Ability to work independently in a deadline driven close.
Clear communication with operational stakeholders.
Professional Swedish and English.
Experience that would add value
Logistics, manufacturing or multi site operations.
Power BI or financial planning systems.
Process improvement across shared finance services.
A background that can succeed here
Your background may be financial control, accounting, audit or operational finance. The partner is looking for someone who can enter a busy environment, establish control quickly and still look beyond the immediate deadline to improve the process.
What makes the opportunity interesting
You will combine hands on finance work with visible business support. The role offers broad process exposure, direct operational dialogue and the opportunity to create stability while contributing useful analysis.
The exact partner, employment model, compensation, start date and working arrangement will be explained openly during the process. Nordic Investin will make sure you understand the context, expectations and decision path before you are asked to commit significant time.
The recruitment conversation
During the process, Nordic Investin will focus on concrete decisions you have made: the context you received, the alternatives you considered, the result you observed and what you would change today. You do not need every optional credential if your core experience transfers and you can explain how you would close the gap.
How to apply
Apply with your CV or LinkedIn profile and a short note describing the most relevant organisation, service, project or financial process you have helped improve. Nordic Investin welcomes candidates with different routes into the profession and assesses applicants on relevant capability, judgement and potential.
